I ordered this book to read as an intro to a humane education & art lesson about the need for ID tags on dogs. Love that I found a link on Pinterest with lots of links to various real life news videos about this dog that I also shared with my students, including a 1 year follow up video in which my students noticed (on their own!) that Baltic is now wearing a collar with an ID tag! :)

Good but kind of boring.
This is a great story to read to a classroom.
I have ended up giving this book as a gift to at least five other families (particularly dog-people). It's a story that emphasizes kindness to animals, with a little drama in the rescue of the dog. I think the illustrations set the right tone. My toddler daughter also likes tracing the dog's journey on the map that is on the inside of the hardback book cover.
This was an interesting true story that I wasn't aware of when it happened. I read it to my two granddaughters and they both enjoyed it and talked about it. The event happened a few days before one of my granddaughters was born, so I purchased the book for her. It is a good story.
Wonderful true story of how people can work together to come to the aid of an animal. A great story with a happy ending!!
This is such a great read for kids! Based on a true story. An excellent choice for teaching children geography, empathy, and compasion!
In LITTLE DOG LOST, Monica Carnesi gives the youngest readers a true life suspenseful tale with a happy ending.

The illustrations will have your little one's gasping. The simple text will have them on the edge of their seats! The sweet ending will warm their hearts. A great book to cuddle up with.
