This story appeared on my page in the top 20 for its category. I read the description of this story and was not sure this was the type of tale I would enjoy, but something about it intrigued me. I decided to read the first few pages and by the end of the first chapter I was hooked!

This is a well told story about a man who in his struggle with despair and heartbreak finds purpose in discovering the answers surrounding the suspicious circumstances of his daughter's death and seeking vengeance against the one responsible. This story is well written. The descriptions of the settings made me feel as if I was there myself. The author also did an excellent job of incorporating some welcomed humor throughout his dark tale. Many times I found myself on the edge of my seat and heart pounding as I read about jack's seemingly hopeless mission to destroy the horror that took his daughter from him in a valiant effort to save future families from suffering the same heartbreaking fate. I would highly recommend this story to any fan of fantasy!

This is Del's first book. I met him at a book signing and was intrigued with the story concept...Unicorns, friends of children and pure maidens is a demon, devouring the souls of the young and innocent children. Jack Tanner lost his beloved daughter to the beast. He is conflicted trying to decide if a unicorn does exist and how to kill it. It is a fast paced, easy to read story that is not only fantasy, adventure, but also a fight of good over evil. I highly recommend this work to anyone. Young or adult, you will be captivated by the character as he grows as a "Knight" giving up everything for someone else.
It hooks you from the beginning. I could not put it down

Great storry. The book was an easy read, but, still kept my interest. The author has another book, The Bloody Finger, i'm looking forward to reading it.
Wow, I don't have time to read a book but chapter 1 flew by and it is great. This is the first time I've downloaded a book and didn't realize there was an app for that available for my surface tablet (I kind of like paper books - yes I'm old). Back to the Unicorn Hunter, I can smell his apartment, feel the character's pain as he begins his quest. Good writing and what an imagination, wow. Good read, I need to get back to it now but wanted to share my experience with ... you.
Looks like the start of an intriguing series, The Unicorn Hunter begins with the total destruction of attorney Jack Tanner's life. After his wife dies from cancer, he dissolves into the bottle becoming a drunk and ignores his small daughter. Abigail becomes involved with an imaginary mythical creature and mysteriously dies. Jack comes out of his stupor and begins a guilt-ridden journey to find out what or who murdered his daughter. It leads him on a chase for the truth in Dublin where the history of his family supplies him with clues to a demon intent on murder.
This book was like an episode of the twilight zone, the more you read, the more you HAD to read. The ending was satisfying and I would look into the next book if there is one.
